Nowadays, network security problem becomes a problem individual user cares much about. And there are countless kinds of virus variations, especially; these exe and dll viruses are really common. So how can we find and kill them?
1. Check the exe viruses in startup processes
(1) We could find single process EXE virus or Trojan in processes, such as svch0st.exe, some antivirus software could find and stop the process, finally kill the virus; and some antivirus software would warn user or create a log file, which needs user to make further a judgment later, and then they will stop relevant process and kill the virus.
(2) Double processes EXE virus or Trojan could be found in system processes, because manual method could not stop two processes at the same time, so when we stop one process manually, the other one would restart the process. For such a situation, there’s nothing antivirus software could do I guess, if the two are non-system processes, we could stop them by “Task manager/Process/End process tree” and then kill the virus; we could also use IceSword’s function “File/Setup/Disable process/thread establishment” to stop one process of them and then to stop the other one, finally kill the virus.
(3) For the EXE files infected by “Panda”, the two methods above would be useless, because you cannot clear the viruses in the files infected manually. At this moment, you could only offer the virus sample to antivirus software manufacturer and wait for software update to deal with it, or
