I bought a Toshiba M70-SR6 laptop on a website. And when I test system, X700 display card shows 256MB graphic memory. But the information I saw on the website is 128MB memory. Of course, I don’t care the extra memory. Now I worry whether my X700 get a problem. What level of the display card of the laptop belongs to? Hope to get your suggestion and help. Thank you!
1): Your laptop might open super memory function, which would divide a part of your system memory to your display card, so it’s a little more than the original. So for you situation, display card should only have 128MB memory, the extra 128MB comes from the distribution of system memory. To test whether it is the truth, you could go and check the memory in system memory information options. If you use 1G memory, then the display card should have 256MB cache. But file information might display something wroing.
Even 128 or 256MB memory display card could basically play most of games, X700 display card belongs to top level, of which performance should be quite nice, just inferior to X800
2): Lavalys Everest is a quite good system software/hardware information test software, which reports detailed display card specification and some other information.
