My 6400 runs Vista system, and now I cannot find any option to let my laptop back to original factory setting. I don’t really understand how to restore system back to certain time point. So I really hope your suggestion and help, thank you so much!

1): You could format the laptop, but you should make sure that your disk could be read, and then you could recover all old applications from Dell support website.
2): If you want to format to the factory setting and attached with all software, then when starting system, press Ctrl+F11, and then blue and option with “Dell” mark would appear, if you miss the image, then let it enter startup mode, and wait for while then start again.
3): Generally speaking, each brand laptop has own defined factory system recovery application, you could follow some guys’ direction, use Ctrl+F11 combination to enter system recovery application, meanwhile, you could also use system recovery disc to restore system.
